Are you living with a chronic condition or ongoing symptoms? Do you experience persistent pain, multiple health issues, or feel like your nervous system and brain are constantly off balance? .
You may experience several different symptoms, digestive issues, hormonal imbalance, anxiety, back pain, teeth grinding, food intolerances, insomnia and see different specialists for each. Yet if your hypothalamus (the body’s master regulator) is dysregulated, if your limbic system perceives constant danger, or if your brainstem is locked in fight-or-flight, your brain’s landscape physically changes. The autonomic nervous system becomes overactivated, unable to return to balance.
How can Craniosacral Therapy (CST) help and what is healing?CST works gently with the body’s fascia, nervous system and soft tissues, releasing restrictions and easing pain by re-educating nerve receptors. Our tissues contain billions of sensory receptors constantly sending feedback to the brain. When the brain perceives safety, tissues soften, melt, and release the areas they’ve been protecting, joints, vertebrae, bones, jaw. CST supports chronic issues such as frozen shoulders, TMJ, neck and back pain, headaches, migraines, concussions, anxiety, depression, chronic conditions and whiplash.
The central nervous system drives every function and symptom in the body. CST works directly with this system in subtle, incremental ways. It helps the nerve receptors in the fascia relax, while addressing the brainstem (medulla, pons, and midbrain), the limbic system, the hypothalamus, and the prefrontal cortex. It also influences the body’s fluid systems. By guiding the brain into deep delta or theta states, the subconscious can surface and transformation can happen.
Our tissues also store memory what CST calls an energy cyst: localized areas where unresolved experiences remain imprinted. When left unaddressed, the body compensates around these sites, affecting nerves, the spinal cord, and emotional balance.
CST facilitates somato-emotional release freeing trapped emotions and memories held within the body. These implicit memories act below conscious awareness yet can manifest as physical symptoms or emotional triggers. Through gentle listening touch and sometimes dialogue, CST reconnects you with your body’s innate wisdom, helping you move from thinking to feeling, from mind to embodiment.
CST offers profound and lasting experiences of self-awareness. It helps you listen to your body’s intelligence, release old patterns, and foster deep physiological and emotional change. Though subtle, its precision and presence, this art of listening to where the body struggles and where it clings reveal its transformative power.
