Craniosacral therapy gives your body and nervous system an opportunity to release tension, restore balance, and enter a state of deep relaxation. To make the most of your session, a little preparation before and mindful care after can support the process.
Before Your Session
Avoid heavy meals: Try not to eat within 2 hours before your appointment. The lighter your stomach, the more energy your nervous system has to engage fully in the session.
Wear comfortable clothing: Soft cotton clothes, like a t-shirt and loose pants, are ideal. This allows your body to relax without restriction.
Arrive a little early: Giving yourself a few minutes before the session helps you settle in, release the rush of the day, and begin in a calm state.
During Your Session
Connect with your body: Pay gentle attention to what is happening inside, without expectation, judgment, or analysis, connecting with your body is a part of an healing process.
Rest if needed: If you feel exhausted, you are welcome to simply rest on the table.
Choose your way of sharing: You can speak about what you’re experiencing with me, or stay silent and inward, both are equally valid.
After Your Session
Keep your schedule light: Try not to pack your day with demanding activities. Your body benefits from spaciousness to integrate the work.
Honor rest: You may feel deeply relaxed or notice a strong need to sleep. Listen to your body, it’s part of the healing process.
Expect possible shifts: In the days following, you might experience physical or emotional discomfort as your system reorganizes and releases stored tension. This is a natural part of integration.
Avoid intense activity: Both physically and socially. Gentle movement and quiet time are much more supportive after a session.
By preparing with intention, staying present during your session, and giving yourself space afterward, you create the best conditions for your body and nervous system to benefit fully from the healing session.
