Listening to the body and its history
Our bodies adapt to the experiences we go through, whether physical or emotional. Accidents, injuries, traumatic events, or periods of prolonged stress can leave a lasting imprint on how we experience our bodies, sometimes contributing to persistent pain, chronic tension, or a lingering sense of discomfort or unease.
The Somatic Manual Approach views the body as a whole, recognizing the connections between our lived experiences, nervous system responses, and the ways our bodies adapt over time.
Through subtle, precise touch, I pay close attention to deep-seated tension, restrictions in mobility, and the ways the body and nervous system have adapted to past experiences. This attentive, hands-on approach allows me to respond to the body's subtle signals, gently supporting it without forceful manipulation, while respecting its natural rhythms and responses.
At SOMA, I work with people experiencing persistent pain, chronic tension, or prolonged stress.
My practice draws on a range of teachings and body-based approaches I have studied internationally. These diverse influences shape a highly individualized way of working, offering a space where the body is met with care, gentleness, and respect.
The Somatic Manual Approach supports:
In contexts of:
Persistent or chronic pain and tension
• persistent or chronic pain • bruxism or jaw tension • headaches and migraines
Stress & regulation
Stress · anxiety · sleep difficulties · persistent fatigue · periods of overload
Other physical manifestations
Dizziness · tinnitus · digestive or pelvic discomfort
Special periods or situations
Following physical or emotional trauma · Pregnancy and postpartum · Support as a complement to treatment for a chronic illness
These problems can have multiple origins. Somatic manual therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or follow-up when necessary.

“To offer a space where the body can be heard, respected, and supported at its own pace.”

Somatic memories
Our past experiences can sometimes influence the way we breathe, move, and respond to the world around us. The concept of somatic memory refers to the idea that our experiences may leave an imprint on the way our bodies move, respond, and adapt.
At SOMA, this perspective encourages a deeper, more attentive way of listening to the body, without seeking to interpret or draw premature conclusions. It is simply an invitation to recognize that every body carries its own unique story.
