Migraines, headaches, and neck tension

Migraines and headaches are complex and multifactorial experiences. Their frequency, intensity, and triggers can vary considerably from person to person. Many factors can be involved, and their assessment should primarily be the responsibility of a healthcare professional.

Headaches, neck tension, cervical tension, recurring headaches, migraines and Nice.

Why can these tensions persist?

The neck, head, jaw and the rest of the body work together constantly.

Faced with stress, pain, certain postural habits or significant life experiences, the body naturally develops adaptation strategies in order to continue to function.

When these adaptations become permanent, they can contribute to maintaining tension in the cervical spine, skull or jaw and contribute to a state of persistent discomfort.

Since each situation is unique, it is essential to consider the body as a whole rather than limiting oneself to the painful area.

The somatic manual approach focuses on the person as a whole and on what is perceptible in the moment: quality of movement, breathing, tensions, supports, bodily comfort and ability to release certain protective responses.

The touch is gentle, progressive, and tailored to each individual.

When medical follow-up is necessary, SOMA intervenes only in a complementary approach and does not replace it.
